Why not relax in the double spa in the Dovecote or sit on the deck watching the local wildlife? Our unique character cottage provides the perfect retreat, with stunning coastal and moorland hikes, beautiful beaches and quaint Welsh villages on the doorstep.

Dovecote Cilgelynen

The Dovecote at Cilgelynen is an imaginatively converted detached stone barn packed with unique character features. It has been designed to be a comfortable home from home with an emphasis on luxury and romance. It has a spacious, well equipped kitchen and dining area, a cosy lounge and a stunning conservatory sun room. A hand crafted oak staircase leads you up to an en-suite mezzanine bedroom with four poster bed. It is set in a beautifully landscaped garden with spring fed ponds and stream, and commands splendid views over the surrounding countryside.

  • Set in a rural location with lovely views over the surrounding farmland and naturally landscaped pond. The cottage is beautifully presented with a great deal of character. It is ideal place to unwind! Some nice touches include the spa bath, sauna and small balcony with a bird feeder - which had plenty of visitors! The coast is within easy reach - only about a 10 minute drive. Would thoroughly recommend.

  • It’s easy to understand why Dovecote gets such good reviews. It’s location in working farm in the midst of the Welsh country side is lovely. The local landscaping is wildlife friendly. Any pond is an asset and Dovecote has 2. We saw Jays, a willow warbler, buzzards, a woodpecker and a nuthatch in the first 15 minutes. A highlight has to be the double spa bath. The local valley walk is wonderful. The woodlands are barely touched. Strumble Head and Dinas Island are really accessible. The rental price is very reasonable.

  • Thank you for providing a home form home experience, the place is amazing and so well equipped, what more could you want?? Weather? Well we had it, lovely visit to Skomer Island, saw the Puffins and an abundance of beautiful wildlife on the rugged Pembrokeshire coast. We had a lovely relaxing stay and we will be back if you will have us – many thanks!
